Pitch Nights are open mic opportunities to share a story for consideration at an upcoming show… in this case, “trueHAND”. At this event, we’re looking forward to hearing your “hand”-themed stories! Make ‘em 5-6 minutes and don’t worry about perfection. Just come and have fun. All tellers will be contacted after the event for follow-up discussions about your story ideas. And, yes, you can just come and watch if you like. It’s FREE for everyone to attend! Regardless if you can make it or think you can make it or can’t make it, do consider sharing your story ideas with us through our Share Your Story page (it’s a particularly great way to let us know to expect to see you on Tuesday, too!).

Every year, as part of the Cincinnati Fringe Festival, True Theatre puts a fringey twist on their show, inviting only artists associated with other shows in the Festival to share their true, personal stories about what it takes to be a working artist! This year’s lineup includes Amica Hunter (creator and star of “Anatomica”), Penny Sterling (creator and star of “ShMILF Life”, Tatiana Godfrey (director, dramaturg, and co-producer of “Gentrification: The Musical!”), and Yanomi Shoshinz (creator and star of “Happy Go Lucky”) . Go see their shows (several opportunities exist as part of the Fringe Festival!) and then come hear what makes them tick at “trueFRINGE 2023”! (NOTE: tickets are sold through the Festival box office. We’re looking for your prom-themed stories!

They don’t have to be about your HIGH SCHOOL prom (though we are certain there are plenty of those stories out there to fill a whole evening!), but it has to be about SOME KIND OF prom.

Come share a 5-6 minute version of your story at our Pitch Night and you might be asked to develop it into a longer story for our April 28th show, "truePROM" at Memorial Hall! Whether or not that happens, you'll still have fun, sharing your story along with everyone else at Pitch Night!

Fluidity, a Creative Choral Community for a Cause, holds event-concerts to raise funds to benefit partner non-profit organizations. and, this April, they’re partnering with us (!!!) by putting together a beautiful line-up of songs for the themed-event they are calling “Together Through Stories.” Their hard work for this concert will be for the benefit of True Theatre.
